The train station at H.O.H. is right next to the Ferry terminal, so it was easy to hop on the train to Amsterdam.
The weather here is cool (about 9 degrees centigrade), but not unpleasant. Amsterdam had a cold snap in the last few weeks, so all the canals have frozen over and the poor ducks and seagulls are walking on them instead of floating. We were amazed to see a dog racing through Vondel Park along the paths, and suddenly bolt across the frozen lake to chase a very surprised duck! There was some very indignant quacking.
