It rained all through last night, and it was still drizzling when we set off this morning, so it was a bit dreary today. We followed the Saone River for a while, then the Le Doubs river for a while and ended up back at the Saone. We can't get over how friendly the locals are. Today a motorist pulled up next to us, got out of his car in the drizzle, and advised us on how to find a nearby scenic path. Losne seems very nice. Stayed at Hotel Auberge De La Marine which is delightful.
Route: Chalon-sur-Saone - Gergy - Verdun-sur-le-Doubs - Charnay-les-Chalon - Seurre - Pagny-le-Chateau - Losne.
