A beautiful sunny day and another very scenic ride. The countryside is now becoming more hilly, with beautiful big granite outcrops on both sides of Le Doubs river. We overtook a group of 20 cyclists who were on a guided and supported ride, so they didn't have any luggage to slow them down. We still managed to outrun them, though.
My bike snapped another spoke just as we were within 500m of our apartment in Besancon, so that was good timing.
Besancon is very impressive, with lots of parks and trees, and a huge Citadel on the top of the granite cliff overlooking the city. Stayed at Adagio Access Besancon.
Route: Dole - Rochefort-sur-Nenon - Orchamps - Dampierre - St. Vit - Osselle - Besancon.
