We spent the morning in our beautiful hotel room fretting over our maps of Holland, Belgium and Britain. We kept going around in circles trying to decide whether to head north to Denmark, or south to Belgium and through to England. After riding back into Purmerend and buying the cycle route map for the overland trip from Alkmaar to Maastricht, our decision was made. We're going to do the LF7A Overland Route that runs through the middle of Holland from north to south (about 350 km).We also did a mad dash back to Amsterdam to buy more detailed maps, and had to race all the way back to our hotel, because the ferry on the way back closes at 7pm.
We did a short ride to Oosthuizen which was lovely and surprisingly small. On our way back Ash noticed that a sheep had managed to get it's head stuck in a fence on the side of the cycle path. When he released the sheep from its plight there was quite a lot of wool attached to the wire, indicating that it had been stuck for a long time. The remarkable thing was that another sheep was standing next to it seemingly calling for help. If it hadn't been so persistant, Ash would not have noticed the problem,
