Tuesday 6th September 2011 Eindhoven to Ospel 54 km

As we left Eindhoven the countryside gradually changed. Much fewer canals, and then it became very sandy and moor-like. We came across a shepherd with two border collie dogs herding a large flock of sheep. It was great to see the dogs respond so well to the whistles.

After the sandy moors we rode further south through a big forest area. It was windy and a little wet today, but not too bad.

  1. EINDHOVEN TO OSPEL

    Hi Ash and Les,
Gosh the cycle paths look so wonderful and flat.Like the forest glade and moor .
Looks like heather at the side of the path before the sheep were crossing .
The sheep were home from home for me . went down to the feedlot today . We have 750 acres off mundijong road baldivis . There are 60,000 sheep in there at the moment mostly in the paddocks but also in the sheds .With all the rain we have had it is very wet and green down there.
If ever we could sub divide the property it would be worth a fortune!
I am going to start tracking you on Google earth . That will be fun !
    Take care
    love
    Neil
