We are taking three rest days in Valkenburg, which has turned out to be a most delightful place. We booked to stay here on booking.com because it had the biggest choice and reasonable prices, and after we arrived we discovered that it is Hollands most popular holiday destination for the locals. It has a big old ruined castle on the hill which is surrounded by scores of restaurants, bars and beautiful architecture. All the places have alfresco style drinking and eating, and we are enjoying the nice vibe here.
Tomorrow we set off for Belgium.
