The route only follows the canal for a short while, then peels off on to the Eurovelo Route 1, which is a welcome change.
We had to get to our appartment in Nantes before 5.00 pm, and we suddenly realised that it wasn't enough time because of our late departure and the complicated path. Just as we were stopped and studying our maps, a wonderful Frenchman on a bicycle stopped and offered to lead us into the city. If he hadn't been so kind, we would not have reached the place in time, and with our simcard still not working, we could not have contacted them. He really saved us a lot of difficulties.
Route: Nord-sur-Erdre - Suce-sur-Erdre - La Chapelle-sur-Erdre Nantes.
