We had a cold north-easterly headwind all day today, which was a bit of a challenge, but not too bad because we have both recovered from our lack of energy and appetite. Hallelujah!
Amboise Chateau was amazing, but the highlight was visiting Chateau Du Clos-Luce which is a beautiful house and gardens where Leonardo Da Vinci lived for the last three years of his life until his death in 1519. He was a guest of King Francis 1. It feels really strange to be in the same place where he lived and worked. Apparently, he had three paintings with him in the house - Mona Lisa, The Sainte Anne and The Saint Jean Baptiste.
Stayed at the Hotel Le Savoie.
Route: Tours - Montlouis-sur-Loire - Amboise - Mosnes - Chaumont-sur-Loire - Chailles - Blois.
