The day started out OK, with a very light intermitent drizzle, but later on after lunch it changed to steady rain and the towpath became very muddy in places. We made our way through Rennes easily, but finding our hotel in Bruz was labourious. However, the Chateau-style Hotel (La Pommerrai) was an absolute delight and made up for the hard day. The young french lady host treated us like we were old friends.
Route: Tinteniac - Hede - Montreuill sur Ille - St. Germaine sur Ille - Chevaigne - Betton - St. Gregoire - Rennes - Bruz.
