Sunday 16th October 2011 St. Austell to Bodmin 30 km

Got lost a couple of times , because there were places where the route signs had either been removed or had been switched around. I wonder if perhaps some local person has become disgruntled by cyclists for some reason.

We went past the Eden Project, which is a series of Biospheres created to mimic various climate around the world for research purposes. We decided that we couldn't risk the time to visit it because of the difficulty and uncertainty with the route signs. We met a local lady who said that she always comes across lost cyclists in the area whilst walking her dog.

We later came across the Treffry Viaduct and Aquaduct which was built from local granite in 1842. The photos don't do it justice - it is enormous. The area reminds me very much of Inyanga in Zimbabwe. We cycled through beautiful natural forest with streams and waterfalls.

Shortly after arriving in Bodmin I noticed a broken spoke on my bike.
